Lady Gaga - Marry The Night: The Prelude Pathétique (Lady Gaga Script)

Lady Gaga - Marry The Night: The Prelude Pathétique

When I look back on my life, it’s not that I don’t want to see things exactly as they happened, it’s just that I prefer to remember them in an artistic way. And truthfully, the lie of it all is much more honest because I invented it. Clinical psychology tells us, arguably, that trauma is the ultimate killer. Memories are not recycled like atoms and particles in quantum physics, they can be lost forever. It’s sort of like my past is an unfinished painting, and as the artist of that painting, I must fill in all the ugly holes and make it beautiful again. It’s not that I’ve been dishonest, it’s just that I loathe reality. For example, those nurses, they’re wearing next season Calvin Klein, and so am I. And the shoes, custom Giuseppe Zanotti. I tipped their gauze caps to the side like Parisian berets because I think it’s romantic, and I also believe that mint will be very big in fashion next Spring. Check out this nurse on the right, she’s got a great ass. Bam. The truth is, back then at the clinic, they only wore those funny hats to keep the blood out of their hair. And that girl on the left, she ordered gummy bears and a knife a couple of hours ago. They only gave her the gummy bears. I’d wished they’d only given me the gummy bears

Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa

Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa is just one the few films from Cinemalaya 2011 that reach commercial release unlike the other two such as Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank and Ligo Na U, Lapit Na Me, this film was considered to fall on the poetry type of movie for it is a masterpiece like movie. The grand and not so grand narratives of sexual awakening are a dime a dozen. Each one of us has a story to tell – and how often a story to embellish – at an early juncture of adolescence. More relevantly, within the annals of cinema, the terrain is a well-trodden one, assuming a subgenre all its own. Many a tawdry youth-oriented film has singlemindedly sexualized love, and thus vulgarized and grossly irrigated this honorable ideal. An entry of a preeminent kind, Alvin Yapan’s Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa is a lyrical and poetic tale that brings back respectability to eros so often shortchanged.

In truth, Yapan’s film does not merely touch upon pure and pristine love, but gracefully rebukes the tyranny of sanctioned love. As a tale exploring the first stirrings of homosexuality, Ang Sayaw is not so much about the wages of raging hormones as it is about the innocence and struggles of unconditioned, unmediated love. It posits a primordial world when gender roles have not been internalized. Yet it must be said in the same breath, it’s a tale meant for everyone, not least of whom those who compartmentalize love. Either way, it’s a film akin to a puzzle: it recomposes itself after each telling: a multifaceted gem that will mystify the most searching eye.

To begin to describe the plot is to simplify it. On the surface, it registers as much as the next film wanting to tell what it knows about sexual awakening and sexual incipience. Here, however, God is in the details: one must listen to the readings – and promptings, if one is inclined – of suggestive and transgressive poetry on the soundtrack as well as to the meaningful gestures between characters. A line of verse may be as significant as the import of a gaze.

In Yapan’s film, there are spades of either one. Verses of sexual initiation – from Ophie Dimalanta to Joi Barrios, from Benilda Santos to Merlinda Bobis – fill the soundtrack at every turn, readings from a literature class taught by a beautiful but curiously single teacher named Karen. There is little back story about her past except to suggest how she has sacrificed love in pursuit of the arts. Her life has become devoted to teaching not just the import of verse, but the language of dance. Marlon is a student smitten with her, though poetry, the kind that that demonstrates love regardless of gender, remains inscrutable to him. Karen’s assistant at her dance studio, Dennis, is in the same poetry class and has the tell-tale gaze.

Dennis has realized he has eyes alone for those of his own sex. When Marlon hires him in secret for dance lessons, a move to impress Karen, Dennis starts to draw his gaze closer. His lessons are not only instructive for the aspiring dancer but for the viewer, it yields the metaphor of how dance, as in other forms of cultural and social expression, is often a phallocentric performance. Man leads, and the woman follows. Man is active; woman, passive.

Here lies one of the film’s foremost curiosities: what happens when there are two men, or two women, performing the dance? What brand of dance is it? The dance of two left feet? Marlon and Dennis soon enough master the dance, not just dispelling our gendered assumptions, the tyranny of prescribed love, but here we see Karen, a kind of muse-like facilitator for the two youngsters, teary-eyed seeing, perhaps, a kind of synergy. Her gaze is a complex one.

The last act of the film depicts a stage performance of Humadapnon, an epic poem rendered into dance by Karen’s troupe of dancers. Dovetailing like no other, Marlon and Dennis essay the lead roles, and breathe life into a kind of unmediated, spontaneous love that existed long ago. They have poured themselves into their roles, and at the climax of performance, Marlon, for the first time, looks meaningfully Dennis in the eye, and his tears fall. His gaze tells an unflinching story.

How will you know if a guy is not really a guy?

Based on my experience I created a list to help you find out if the one you are dealing with or talking with is not really a man.

1. He keeps on calling you "kuya" if he doesn't know your name, not knowing if you are really older than him. A man usually calls people he doesn't know as "pare" if they are unsure who's older.

2. He is uncomfortable of talking about a girl, he almost doesn't have anything to tell if you talk about a girl but tells so much if its about other things.

3. He doesn't go to Comfort Room much with men, he mostly get to the Comfort Room alone.

4. When he pee in the Comfort Room, he always go to cubicle than just peeing in the urinal. It shows him uncomfortable with men when it comes to men thing.

American Idol 10 Top 6 performs Carole King songs.( My Ranking)

My Top 6 Ranking of American Idol 10 Carole King Week
1. James Durbin-Will You Still Love Me TomorrowJames Durbin has never disappointed me with his performances, aside from Pia Toscano he is my other bet for the title. I don't know what will happen in the competition if he will be eliminated.

2.Scotty Mcreery-You've Got A Friend I am no fan of Scotty but I must admit I really liked this performance. It was one of his best performance or maybe the best yet.

3.Haley Reinhart-Beautiful I am not that a bog fan of Haley but I must admit, I always love her` performances her voice is so unique and really sexy. I just hate it that judges sometimes makes her feel as if she did not do a good job even she gave her everything and really impressed the world with her voice. She has a really good voice.

4.Casey Abrams-Hi De Ho Since he almost got eliminated I always wish him to be voted off but with this performance I know he is good but I just feel like it's unfair that he had a second chance and got double elimination the week after. I don't like that policy of American Idol, judges used the power too early they could have saved Pia.

5.Lauren Alaina-Where You Lead I loved her ever since until the Top 7 performances where she sang Born To Fly by Sara Evans with that performance and her performance during Carole King week, I can say that she is getting tired in the competition so I don't like her that much now.

6.Jacob Lusk-Oh No not my Baby! He is a good singer all of them are it's just his weakest performance ever. Whenever I see him I always remember his performance of Dance With My Father and Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word those were just his best performances in the show.

The Very Controversial Film of Mariel Rodriguez and Robin Padilla. Set in India
ZOMBADINGS: Patayin sa Shokot si Remington

Star Cinema's First Movie Offering for the year 2011 "BULONG"

36th Metro Manila Film Festival

I never thought that that I will be supporting this year’s filmfest too much. I just think that all the entries in this year’s film fest are all worth watching. I rushed to the cinema on the first day of the film fest( December 25) and decided to watch Dalaw first,I thought that dalaw wont last long thats why I decided to watch this first, but I was really surprise when I saw that Dalaw was a certified hit when i entered the cinema.Right after I watched Dalaw I just decided to go to church first before i watch another entry.I watched RPG Metanoia after I went to church on the same daw at Glorietta 4,no 3D for RPG so i was not able to watch it in 3D. The crowd was not as much as in other entries but it was not that flop as like Dayo and Urduja before.Really glad to see a film like RPG that was produced here in our country. Then came monday(December 27) I planned to watch Rosario at Greenbelt 3 Cinemas, but then my friend wont like the idea,so decided to watch Shake Rattle and Roll XII instead. It was a good movie though some episodes are boring, cinema crowd is awesome.I just love the episode of Carla Abellana ( Punerarya ) The best episode of Shake rattle and Roll ever for me.Afteer 3days ( December 30 ) I decided to watch Rosario before I went to the Grocery. The movie was just awesome, left me speechless though acting of Jenilyn Mercado disappoints me. But with the technicals it was great,Good Cinematography,Scoring,Editing,Sound,Make Up et al. Gread Debut for Albert Martinez but I think Albert needs to improve more.January 1,I celebrated New Year with a bang by watching Ang Tanging Ina Mo Last Na To.Never thought that I will still have trouble booking a seat since its already its 2nd week.I ended up seating at the very front row in the right side of the cinema.Thank God Glorietta does not allow Standing Room at least I still have a seat. Now I am planning to watch Father Jejemon, but my problem is Limited Cinemas are now showing it. I am now having trouble finding a theater, I guess I will just be watching it at Gateway :). I wanna watch Rosario and RPG again and again. Support Local Movie. I never had so much interest in Local Movies just now. I am now excited for the 37th MMFF no more time for foreign movies lol :)
